The USCA School of Education prepares future educators and leaders to inspire the next generation and make a difference in students' lives. Offering undergraduate degrees in areas like Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle Level, Secondary, Special, and Music Education, along with a master’s in Educator Leadership, our programs—accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation—combine rigorous coursework, hands-on fieldwork, and guidance from expert faculty. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experience to thrive in classrooms and school districts locally and beyond.
The USCA School of Nursing prepares students to excel in patient care, education, research, and leadership within dynamic healthcare environments. Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), our programs include an in-person Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and an online RN to BSN option. Combining classroom learning, hands-on lab experiences, and clinical practice, graduates are equipped to meet the evolving healthcare needs of South Carolina and beyond, creating a healthier world.
Academic Resources
The Gregg-Graniteville Library at USCA supports student and faculty success by offering extensive resources, services, and study spaces, including over 130,000 print volumes, a million e-books, 250+ databases, and technology lending. Librarians provide research help, instruction, and online guides, while the library offers group and individual study rooms, computers, printing, and extended hours during exams. Additional services include interlibrary loan, PASCAL Delivers, government and state publications, archives, and a Department of Energy Reading Room. The library’s first floor houses the Student Success Center, bringing together library services, advising, tutoring, IT help, and more, and is home to student publications Broken Ink and The Pacer Times.
The Office of Online Learning and Support (OLS) at USCA advances quality online education by offering professional development, instructional design guidance, and a supportive network for faculty, staff, and students using technology for learning. OLS provides administrative support and academic advising for online degree programs, including the flexible Palmetto College degree completion program and the fully online RN to BSN program, both taught by USC system professors. Online students have access to the university’s academic resources and advisors specialized in supporting their unique needs.

The Student Success Center at USCA is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals by offering a wide range of support services. The Center provides academic advising, tutoring, academic coaching, and workshops to empower students to succeed in their coursework and develop essential skills. Through personalized guidance and resources, the Student Success Center assists with course selection, study strategies, time management, and overcoming academic challenges, ensuring students have the support they need throughout their college journey.

The USCA LIFE (Learning is For Everyone) program offers students with intellectual disabilities an inclusive college experience by providing academic, social, and independent living support. Students gain valuable work experience through on- and off-campus jobs, live independently with guidance from a LIFE Residential Assistant, and build relationships with peer mentors while participating in campus activities and clubs. Upon completing the program, students earn the PACER Credential, recognizing their ability to live and work independently, with opportunities for further growth through the Leadership & Civic Engagement Program. The LIFE program fosters personal, academic, and social development, helping create a more inclusive campus community.
The Veteran and Military Student Success Center (VMSS) at USCA is dedicated to supporting veterans, service members, and their families as they transition from military service to academic and community life. The VMSS provides nationally recognized educational and holistic transition support, offering resources and a welcoming center where military-affiliated students can study, connect, and find community. By empowering these students to achieve their educational, career, and personal goals, the VMSS helps prepare them to become strong thinkers and leaders in the workforce and beyond.
