Certificate in Strategic Communication
A Certificate in Strategic Communication provides students with skills in multiple methods of communication including public relations, advertising, marketing, and internal and external communications. Strategic Communications examines how organizations— corporate, non-profit, government—engage in purposeful communication, everything from branding efforts to consumers, advocacy efforts to the public, or messaging between an organization and its employees. The courses in the program enable students to evaluate communication, create persuasive content, and design effective communication plans. This certificate makes students competitive in multiple fields including public relations, digital and online media, politics, consulting, social advocacy, government and nonprofit, healthcare, marketing, higher education, and more.

Important Info: Please note that if you are a Communication or Emerging Media Major only 50% of the above courses can also count toward your BA degree core program requirements. C or higher required in all courses to successfully complete.
