All on-campus, university-sponsored events are canceled from 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 25.
Updates related to on-campus events not hosted by the university will be communicated by organizers.
The campus will remain open through the weekend, providing support services to residential students. This includes dining services, the Student Activities Center and public safety. The university will continue closely monitoring weather forecasts for the coming days. Updates to the university's schedule will be noted on the website, social media and via email.
Students walking across campus are encouraged to proceed with caution as tree limbs and power lines may be compromised by the weight of ice. Freezing conditions could result in black ice on roads and sidewalks.
As you finalize weekend plans, keep an eye on road and environmental conditions in your local area and along your intended route before traveling. Do not proceed if conditions are unsafe. We encourage you to take this opportunity to review your personal safety plan and update your personal contact information at myaccount.sc.edu.
