Part-time Temporary Mathematics Instructor Pool – USCA

USCA’s Department of Computer Science, Engineering, & Mathematics is collecting application materials for a Part-time Temporary Mathematics Instructor Pool.  Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in Mathematics.

Requirements: Master’s degree in related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the perspective discipline is required. Teaching experience preferred. Salary is commensurate and competitive with qualifications and experience.

Temporary Certified Lifeguard

  • Salary$15/hr (Hours vary based on need)

The overall focus of this position is to supervise the USCA Natatorium. Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing assistance to Natatorium members, processing membership payments, monitoring and observing all member activity in the pool and on the deck, implementing emergency procedures when needed, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Lifeguarding Certification (The USCA Department of Recreation and Wellness will pay for certification if you are not currently certified). You must be at least 16 years old.

Temporary, Full Time Teaching Assistant

  • Salary$15.00/hr, 40 hrs/wk

The Teaching Assistant will implement instructional programs and ensure that the classroom practices meet the requirements of the Department of Social Services Licensing Standards of the Child Care and Development Block Program at the National Association for the Education of Young Children Accreditation.  Additionally, the successful candidate will also provide care for and interact with all children in a quality childcare setting at the USCA Children's Center. Hours to be determined. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Training or successfully complete both programs within 60 days of acceptance of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in early childhood education.
  • CDA credentials or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. 
  • Candidates without an Associate's Degree must be able to meet NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) minimum standards for assistant teachers to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of individual and group behavioral activities, teaching practices, lesson planning and student evaluation. 
  • Competent computer skills (i.e. Excel, Microsoft Office) required.
