Welcome New Pacers!
Orientation programs are offered to assist new students with transitioning to life at USCA. You’ll be introduced to faculty, staff, and students and learn about your opportunities and responsibilities as a student. After receiving your official acceptance letter, you will be invited to Orientation via email.
Your Hosts
You will be welcomed to campus by the Pacesetters, orientation leaders committed to helping new students navigate their college experience. These orientation leaders are some of USCA’s best students who exemplify leadership and a genuine passion for helping others. They will be available to answer questions, distribute information, organize operational logistics, and facilitate activities.
Program Costs
Orientation programs are free for students. Parents/family/guest tickets are $15/per person.

Orientation Housing
Optional housing will be offered to orientation-registered students and their parents or guardians for their program in the May, June, and July orientation sessions.
Students and their families may check in between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Pacer Crossings lobby’s front desk. The Pacer Crossings Residence Hall, which is our First Year Experience residence hall, is located on the USC Aiken campus at 961 Leadership Drive, Aiken, SC 29801.
Cost for Orientation Housing
Single student: $20 per night
- Each freshman student will be provided their own bedroom in a Pacer Crossings suite. There is a common room and a bathroom in the suite. All bed linens and towels will be provided. Housing for a single freshman is based upon gender.
Family of up to 4 people: $60 per night
- Each freshman student and his/her family will be provided their own suite in Pacer Crossings. The suites consist of a common room, bedrooms, and a bathroom. All bed linens and towels will be provided.
You can pay for the room with cash, check, credit card, or debit card when you check into the room.
Items to Bring
Please bring all your needed toiletries--shampoo/conditioner, soap, toothpaste--and anything else to make your stay on campus more comfortable. The lounges in Pacer Crossings have televisions you can use during your stay on campus.
How to Make a Reservation
Please complete the Housing Orientation Reservation Form to submit your request. Please submit the housing reservation form at least one week (seven days) before the orientation session that you will be attending to provide University Housing the time needed to set up your room.
