Governor Henry McMaster will visit the University of South Carolina Aiken(USCA) at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 in the Student Activities Center, following the announcement of the Farm and Forest Recovery Resource Days initiative.

The event aims to support South Carolina's farming and forestry communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. It will offer a one-stop resource for individuals to learn about available assistance and services.

According to the Governor’s office, damage assessments completed by the S.C. Department of Agriculture and S.C. Forestry Commission estimate the total financial damage to South Carolina's agribusiness industry from Hurricane Helene, Tropical Storm Debby, and this summer's flash drought to be $621 million.

The Governor is expected to arrive on campus at 2:30 p.m.

24 state and federal agencies will have tables in the Student Activities Center Gymnasium. For a full list of the agencies attending, click the link here.

Farm and Forest Recovery Resource Days will also take place in Greenville on Thursday, Nov, 21, and Myrtle Beach on Friday, Dec. 6.
