The Dallas Brass will perform at the Etherredge Center next Tuesday, March 25 at 7p.m. The performance is the next show in the Etherredge Center’s 2024-2025 Cultural Series.

Since its founding in 1983, the Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles. The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges. In addition to their solo engagements, the Dallas Brass appears with symphony orchestras nationwide. Symphonic credits include the Cincinnati Pops conducted by Erich Kunzel, New York Pops conducted by Skitch Henderson, and the Philly Pops conducted by Peter Nero. The Dallas Brass has performed at Carnegie Hall, and the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and has toured overseas to Europe and the Far East.

They have shared the stage with the late Bob Hope, have performed for Presidents Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush, have appeared on the CBS Early Show, and their music has been used numerous times on the television show, The Young & The Restless.

The group will perform their program “American Musical Journey” for their visit in Aiken. From the time of George Washington to the present day, music will be selected from the masters, including musical styles from Dixieland, Swing, Broadway, Folk, Patriotic, and Pop. There is definitely “something for everybody.” This performance will feature the talent of Brian Neal and Luis Cardenas Casillas on trumpet, John Wasson on trombone, Craig Hill on percussion, Juan Berrios on horns, and Paul Carlson on Tuba.

The Dallas Brass has a strong dedication to working with young musicians and will present a workshop for USCA and local high school students. These students will join the Dallas Brass on stage to perform three songs at the end of the concert!
Tickets for the Dallas Brass are $45 for adults, $40 for seniors, military, and USCA staff, and $5 for students.
