The Etherredge Center at the University of South Carolina Aiken has announced its exciting new lineup of shows for the 2025–2026 season.

Audiences got a sneak peek of what’s in store during the annual Season Reveal Drop-In event, held on Friday, May 9, downtown in the Alley.

Each year, the Etherredge Center brings world-class performances to the heart of Aiken, offering audiences a chance to experience global talent close to home.

“The whole season is going to be fantastic,” said Paul Crook, director of the Etherredge Center.

This year’s shows will feature a variety of acts, from jazz performances, kid-friendly theatrical performances, and international acts.

Crook couldn’t hide his excitement as he talked about some of the upcoming performances scheduled at the theatre.

In October, comic book fans are in for a treat as Columbia’s own Chuck Brown takes the stage as part of the Carolina Series. Known for co-creating some of today’s most celebrated comic book series, Bitter RootFlawed, and On the Stump, Brown has also lent his writing talents to Marvel titles like Black Panther. The event will include a live author interview and audience Q&A inside the theatre, followed by a book signing and photo op in the lobby. “It’s going to be a great chance to connect with one of the most innovative voices in comics today,” Crook said.

The Etherredge Center will transform into a glowing wonderland with LightWire Theatre’s dazzling production of DINOLIGHT in November. Famous for their appearances on America’s Got Talent, these performers use black costumes and glowing neon and LED lights to bring their characters to life in visually stunning ways. The story follows a mad scientist who builds a heart to bring a dinosaur to life as his best friend. “It’s the kind of show that lights up the imagination,” Crook explained, “and we’re hoping to pack the house with kids and families.”

In March of the new year, the theatre will echo with the sounds of traditional Irish music as performed by award-winning band DANÚ in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Hailing from County Waterford, Ireland, the group is known for its energetic performances and deep connection to Celtic roots. “This will be an amazing night for anyone who loves Irish music or just wants to get swept up in the spirit of the holiday,” said Crook.

Other artists appearing during the season include the Karla Harri Quartet, the Marshgrass Mamas, the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, pianist Scott Kirby, and South Carolina artist Ginny Merett.
