Leaders attend ribbon-cutting ceremony for new Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative

State and local leaders gathered with U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright (center) to mark the official opening of the AMC.
U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright visited the CSRA to take part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative (AMC) at the University of South Carolina Aiken.
The facility, connected to the Savannah River Site (SRS), is designed to advance research and innovation in clean energy and nuclear materials. The event held on Thursday, Aug. 7, included state, local leaders and USCA Chancellor, Dr. Daniel Heimmermann, highlighting the AMC’s role in boosting regional workforce development and supporting national energy goals.
