Two USCA accounting students among state’s top scholarship winners

Two USCA accounting students, Molly Ehrenclou and Abbegail Foreman, have been awarded scholarships from the South Carolina Association of CPAs (SCACPA), joining 39 other recipients across the state. The honors are part of SCACPA’s annual Educational Fund program, which recognizes top accounting students from 11 South Carolina colleges and universities.
Ehrenclou, a junior in USCA’s School of Business Administration, didn’t initially plan to pursue accounting. However, two professors in her introductory courses helped her discover a passion for the field.
"I am truly honored and grateful to be awarded the C.C. McGregor SCACPA Scholarship,” said Ehrenclou. “This generous support allows me to continue pursuing my educational goals as I work toward a future career as a CPA. Accounting is a vital profession with diverse opportunities, and this scholarship motivates me to keep striving toward my goals. Through dedication and hard work, I’ve grown to love accounting, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me."
This year, SCACPA’s Educational Fund Trustees awarded $76,500 in scholarships to undergraduate juniors and seniors majoring in accounting, as well as graduate students. Individual awards ranged from $1,500 to $2,500.
The program underscores SCACPA’s commitment to supporting students and strengthening the accounting profession in South Carolina. To honor this year’s recipients and the donors who make the awards possible, SCACPA will host its 2025 Student Recognition Luncheon on Fri., Nov. 21, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center during the Fall Fest Accounting Conference.
