USCA students place in the 2025 Microsoft Office Specialist State Championship Fall Qualifier

USCA had four students to place in the top 10 in South Carolina during the Fall Qualifier of the 2025 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship
The winners of the 2024 Fall Qualifier Microsoft Office Specialist South Carolina State Championship have been announced by Certiport, the leading provider of performance-based IT certification exams that accelerate academic and career opportunities for learners. The University of South Carolina Aiken had four students place in the top 10 in South Carolina during the Fall Qualifier of the 2025 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship.
Placing 2nd in the Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint (Office 2019) category is Sawyer Shull; placing 3rd in the Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint (Office 2019) category is Mary Ehrenclou; and placing 9th in the Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint (Office 2019) category is Ainsley Lide. In the Microsoft Word (Office 2019) category, Sawyer Shull placed 5th, Therese Kent placed 8th, and Ainsley Lide placed 9th. USCA students competed against students from across South Carolina to earn this recognition.
To compete in the Fall Qualifier, students aged 13 to 22 were eligible to participate in one of six competition tracks by submitting a qualified, passing score on the Microsoft Office Specialist Word, Excel®, or PowerPoint® certification exams by December 20, 2024.
“We have seen amazing results from the Microsoft Office Specialist program at our school as students learn and validate key workforce skills,” said Nancy Albers, Ph.D., dean of the School of Business Administration at USCA. “The Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship further motivates them to earn certification, and we are proud of these students who have proven to be the best in our state.”
