Drone Certification Camp – Program Description
The AINautics Drone Certification Camp is an exciting, hands-on experience designed for high school students who are ready to explore the world of drone technology, aviation, and professional certification.
Throughout this immersive camp, students will learn how to safely operate drones, develop advanced flight control skills, and gain foundational knowledge required to become a certified commercial drone pilot. Campers will be introduced to FAA Part 107 concepts while participating in real-time aerial challenges and training exercises.
Participants will:
- Learn the fundamentals of drone flight, safety, and FAA regulations
- Develop real-world flight skills and operational techniques
- Train using flight simulations and hands-on drone practice
- Participate in mission-based challenges and competitive activities
- Explore how drones are used in careers such as media, construction, public safety, and engineering•Build the knowledge base needed to pursue FAA Remote Pilot Certification
- This camp is designed to be both educational and engaging, giving students the opportunity to develop real-world skills while preparing for future certification and career opportunities in the drone industry.
No prior drone experience is required.
Student Requirements
Students should demonstrate:
- Strong interest in STEM and technology
- Basic skills in math and science
Age 15 or older

Meals
The Ruth Patrick Science Education Center (RPSEC) and AINautics does not provide snacks or lunch.
Students must bring:

Staff will supervise all breaks.
Camp Policies
Check-In / Check-Out
Daily check-in and check-out must be completed by a parent or guardian
Any changes to pick-up must be communicated in writing
Pick-Up Policy
Only authorized individuals may pick up students
Students will not be released outside of designated areas
Refund Policy
- 14+ days prior: 75% refund (minus $10 fee)
- 5–13 days prior: 50% refund (minus $10 fee)
- Less than 5 days: No refund
If minimum enrollment is not met, a full refund (100%) will be issued.
