Fall 2025 End of Semester Move Out Procedure for Residents
If you are returning to USCA for the spring 2026 semester, you do not need to move your belongings out of the room or return your key. Please speak with your Resident Mentor on how to prepare your room for being away. Once you have done those things, then you are ready to head out for Christmas and New Year’s Break.
If you are not planning on returning to USCA for the spring 2026 semester, speak with your Resident Mentor about moving out of University Housing. Please understand that there will be fees associated with canceling your Housing Contract mid-semester. Your Resident Mentor will explain the move-out process. If you have other questions, please stop by the desk in your building and speak with your Assistant Director.
Once you have checked out with the RMs, please complete the check-out form in the office.
Return your room and mailbox key to the office and make sure to complete the Housing Cancellation Form as well.

Please know that any damages to the conditions of the room or the furniture may result in damage fees; fees are found in the Community Guide on pages 37-39.
Failure to check out in the process outlined above will result in an improper check out fee of $50.00. Any trash the custodial services must take out will be charged the hourly cleaning rate.
Failure to return room and mailbox keys at the time of checkout will result in a fee of $150.00 for the room key and $10.00 for the mailbox key.
