    Campus Safety

The University Police Office is located on campus in the housing community at Pacer Downs. Uniformed officers provide services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. These services include emergency response to crimes in progress and life-threatening incidents, foot patrol, escort services, and limited parking lot assistance (e.g., unlocking cars and jump starts).

All officers are certified Medical First Responders. They also provide vehicle registration and publish crime and prevention information.

The University Police Department is committed to providing the USCA community with professional services. Our police officers are state-certified by the state of South Carolina. Because the Department’s effectiveness is largely dependent upon the assistance and cooperation of the university community, each officer and staff member strives to promote open communication and to maintain an atmosphere of courtesy, fairness, and concern. They are qualified to handle any safety and security situation. Before employment, all officers are subjected to extensive psychological screening and background investigations.

University Housing also has live-in professionals and student staff members available 24 hours a day to assist with any problems.
