Summer interns

Thank you for your interest in using University Housing over the summer semester. We are so excited to have you! Please read the information below regarding the dates when interns can use our facilities, the features available, and the payment process. SUMMER INTERN APPLICATION

The Summer Intern Application is due Friday, May 1, 2026. Housing accommodations are based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Check-in and check-out information

Summer intern housing is available from Sunday, May 17 to Sunday, July 26, 2026. The dates are subject to change.

Check-in will take place on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Pacer Commons office.

You may vacate your assigned space earlier than the date on your application, but no refund will be processed.

If you need an early arrival or late departure, please email Datasia Padgett at datasia.padgett@usca.edu. Please note that this will only be accepted if residential rooms are available and is not guaranteed. Any rental period outside the specified dates must be approved by the Director of Housing and Residence Life.

Information on residential buildings

All summer interns will be housed in Pacer Commons during the summer 2025 period. Pacer Commons is a furnished residence hall building with a full kitchen, living room area, two bedrooms (Double style)/ four bedrooms (Single style), two bathrooms, and closets. bed Linens to fit a Twin XL
hangers, laundry supplies, seasonal clothing
personal hygiene products and toiletries
shower curtains, rings, and bathmat
towels, hand towels, and washcloths
cleaning supplies, vacuum, dustpan, Swiffer, broom, etc.
toilet paper and paper towels
small microwave, coffee maker, cutlery, cups, pots, and pans

Rates and Payments

Double	$152.25 plus 12% tax = 170.52 per week
Double as a Single	$169.05 plus 12% tax = $189.34 per week
Intern Amenity Fee (May–August)	$75

Payments are due each Sunday of the week and may be made with a credit card through the online link, which incurs a 2.5% convenience fee. Payments are considered late if not met on Sunday and will be assessed as a $50.00 late fee. If you wish, you may pay in full for the entire time.

Intern organizations paying for their interns' housing costs must complete the Intern Invoice Form below. If the sponsoring organization does not complete the form, all payments will be returned to the intern. Only one form needs to be completed if an organization is sponsoring more than one intern, but each intern must complete the Summer Intern Housing Application individually.

Insurance

University Housing strongly encourages incoming interns to acquire renters' insurance before moving onto campus. Neither USCA nor University Housing is responsible for damages to or losses of your personal property as stated in the University Housing Community Guide.

Mail sent to the main USCA address will not be delivered to you, as University Housing mail does not pass through the campus mailroom.

University Housing and USCA policies

All USCA and University Housing policies in the Community Guide will remain in effect throughout the summer. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal.
